Since I graduated I have had steady employment in the print and marketing industries (click 'resume' link to the left for details). This past year 2009 I included web-design to my skill set, learning how to use and combine Flash and Dreamweaver
to create modern engaging sites.

About my site

Layout
I designed Manory.com using the 'golden ratio' (1.618).
By using a grid based on the mathematical ratios of the numbers 1,2,3,5 and 8, designers are able to mimic the beautiful proportions found in all things natural.

Color and theme
Mature greys, stark black and white imagery and a rusty orange gradient to give the site a splash of warmth.

Smart Flash
Randomly loaded images and .swf animations appear inside the flash movies- Every time a page is loaded in the site a unique combination of image and animation comes up.

This feature overcomes a common shortcoming found in most smaller but professionally designed websites- it stops the site from looking static and gives it a bit of dynamic edge.

CMS ready
The site was designed using templates in Dreamweaver.
Inside that template I arranged certain sections to be editable
by a CMS- a Content Management System.

This is useful because anyone I specify can now edit the site on their browser, without using graphic design software or writing a single line of code.
